Is Freedom For Sale?

  1. the power or right to act, speak, or think as one wants without hindrance or restraint.
"we do have some freedom of choice"
    • absence of subjection to foreign domination or despotic government.
    • the state of not being imprisoned or enslaved.

Is freedom for sale in America? We are in the middle of a spiritual, political and social awareness revival, There is a shift that is happening and it's time to make strategic change. Where some would argue that the times are getting worst, others will say that we are on the brink of seeing some monumental changes.

The resurgence of social activist movements are helping to make freedom a reality for many Americans. Women's Empowerment, Black Lives, Brown Lives, LGBT Lives, The War on Poverty, Education & Health Care, the School to Prison Pipeline, Human Trafficking, etc. are issues that we all should be informed about, respectful of and helping to ensure that justice is working for all.

We can change the message that "they don't really care about us!" There is power in numbers! One thing we can learn from countries seeking to be a Democratic society is that the people oppressed by any injustice stick together. Those who have power and influence should morally chose to support effective and needed changes to equality. There is strength in numbers! Regardless of what you look like or where you're from, we have to change the narrative of freedom in America

If people in this country are confined to oppressed ways of living, then freedom must be for sale. So how much does freedom cost in America? Hopefully not the continual loss of lives of those innocent people living in oppression in this country. Exercise your freedom speech. Learn the issues, know the bills being passed in this country, hold your elected officials (on all levels) accountable and get out and VOTE!
