Black Conservatism vs Black Liberation

Does the Black elite, upper class play a role in the dismantling of Black liberation movements?

The Atlanta Riot, by Gregory Mixon recalls the coming together of white elite, renegades and the Black elite. 

Basically to stop the killing of Black people, specifically and solely well to do, educated, to white liberals more accepting and assimilated Blacks. 

The Black working and lower classes were left to fend for themselves.

Unprotected, unsupported and oppressed by Black elites just like those who oppress the Black race and culture in America. 

Black elitism, classism plays a role in the power play for influence and control of the Black community. 

For example, Atlanta has given the persona that "Blacks" run the new south, when in reality Black elite, wealthy or influential families in industries such as entertainment, higher education, engineering, technology, religion and entrepreneurs of family, health and bereavement care are really just the face of a city still controlled by white privilege. 

Some would argue that Black people regardless of class and status are conservative. This notion of Black conservatism is deeply rooted in religion and the Black church. Not so much spirituality. Black liberation is embedded in revolutions and spiritual influences including activists like Baldwin, Malcolm X, Dr. King and Fred Hampton. 

Conservatism in the Black community is a tool used to maintain division from colorism, sexism, homophobia, body shaming, classism and acts of violence against each other better and falsely framed as "Black on Black" crime. 

Because American political, religious and educational institutions systemically reinforce the trauma of consequences of Black revolutions, massacres, spiritual revivals and race riots. It's a means to blocking true liberation and freedom of Black minds and souls. 

Black conservatism vs Black liberation is deeply rooted in the Black church, which subconsciously reinforces the savior or "Jesus" complex witnessed through the need for white people to have to save Black people from ourselves.

But in reality their relentlessness to maintain spiritual, mental and financial control of Black people continues the untimely and unwarranted deaths of innocent Black lives. 

Black souls that are taken away too soon, becoming memorials and hashtags reminding us of the agony of conservative views that murder Black liberations. Confining us to an ongoing battle between Black conservatism and Black liberation.
