Black Boys in Atlanta are Graduating and Already Starting Businesses
He plans on attending Dartmouth College, Ivy League, in the fall.
Vachon is the first in his school's history to attend an Ivy League school and play sports.
He is also a first generation college student. Making Black families are impacted by the postponed and even some cancellation of graduations.
He will graduate third in his class with a 4.2 GPA. He also has an a 3.7 GPA form Georgia State University through a dual enrollment program.
Vachon participated in the Washington high school's football, basketball, student government association (SGA), track , soccer and the HOSA BS Project Excel.
He also helped start the school's policy debate team. Debate is a great pathway for college readiness.
"I understand the difficulty coming from the Metro Atlanta area," stated Vachon. Outside of school, Vachon enjoys volunteering to help those who like him grew up in some of the challenging communities in Atlanta. He loves giving back to the community!
Vachon intends on majoring in Public Health. He plans on returning to Atlanta and opening health care facilities . He wants to make a global impact by helping Black residents practice better eating and healthy living habits.
